Start a Night in Chord before you leave, and send the Night link to your crew. At the festival, film short clips. Chord names the song from each clip, and everyone's moments land in the same Night.
Chord is not affiliated with Sunburn. This is a fan's guide, not an official one. The official Sunburn site lists the 2026 festival in Mumbai, not Goa: 18 and 19 December 2026 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. Check it for the lineup and any changes.
Before you go: make the Night
- Open Chord and start a Night. Pick Festival as the type and name it after the festival.
- Send the Night link to your crew, or let them scan the code. Do it at home, where the signal is good.
- Ask everyone to get the iPhone beta before the day. Installing in a crowd with one bar of signal is no fun.
- Charge everything the night before, including a power bank.
In the crowd: short clips, the song comes with them
Film the moment, not the whole set. Ten to twenty seconds is enough to keep the drop and the crowd. Chord names the song from your clip and shows CAUGHT IT. If it can't, add the song in two taps later.
A festival tent is loud, and some tracks are unreleased edits. No app can name a track that isn't out yet. Keep the clip anyway. It is your record that you heard it.
No signal? Keep filming
Big crowds jam the network. Chord saves every clip to your phone first. The song gets named when your phone is back online, so you don't need to stand still and wait for a bar.
Battery: make it last to the closing set
- Turn on Low Power Mode when you arrive.
- Carry a power bank and a short cable. Top up during a break, not at 5 percent.
- Film short clips. Long videos drain the battery and fill your storage.
- Turn the screen brightness down between sets.
- Keep your phone in a pocket, not in your hand. You will enjoy the set more too.
Low light: get a clip you can watch later
- Hold the phone at chest height with both hands and keep your elbows in.
- Tap the stage to focus, then drag the exposure down a little. A dark stage looks better a bit dark than washed out.
- Don't pinch to zoom. Digital zoom turns lights into mush. Use the zoom buttons, or just move closer.
- Wipe the lens. A greasy lens turns every laser into a smear.

The morning after
The next morning your Night Recap is waiting: your night, already cut. The Setlist shows every song you and your crew caught, in order. Make a reel, share the Night Card, or save the whole crew's night to your own library in one tap.
